HAPPY FRIDAY!

It has been raining straight for about 3 weeks now and I think I am officially over rainy season. Korea is in some serious need of sun.

This weekend we are heading south east to Boryeong, the home of the world famous Mudfest.

I have been looking forward to this weekend for eleven months. This festival is the festivals of all festivals. Millions of foreigners and Korean's alike flock to this small beach city to soak themselves in MUD, drink, dance, wrestle, slide, swim, ect. There are also going to be DJ's and fireworks. One fabulous weekend.



This week's KPOP Friday song is "Bubble Pop" by Hyuna.

Hyuna is a member of the South Korean girl group 4minute (KPOP Friday back in October). She is a Seoul native and currently attends Konkuk University.


"Bubble Pop" is her first single off her first solo EP. It is a fun cathy song that has an extremely sexy video. Her dance moves are very provocative for Korean videos and it has been getting some backlash, but I love the video more because of it! Things I love that are in this video: the silver HUMMER, the Derrick Rose jersey and how the video is filmed and edited similar to Korean TV (cartoon writing).
